We have a large house spider living in our toilet room. It's one of those fast running specimens you find in every house and that make people scream. The most common house spider in Western Europe is Tegenaria atrica and it's also the species living in our toilet. Yesterday I tried to make a macro portrait of this fellow, using the Vivitar 55/2.8 1:1 macro I used last week for the jumping spider too. This one is much (!) larger though, and 1:1 is too much. Cropping wasn't necessary and on the white floor of the toilet, the effect is rather...arty, I would say!
